It is dangerous to breathe rust

  • Hello dear Shisha community,

As an open-minded young man, I was of course immediately enthusiastic about the new "shisha trend" and bought my own shisha after smoking a few heads with friends. My mistake, however, was to want to save up and buy the shisha in a small shop around the corner that sells everything from the Far East.
Right from the start I noticed that I kept getting smaller black particles in my mouth. At first I thought it was dirt and cleaned the shisha thoroughly, both before and after smoking. But the same thing next time. But what surprised me: I had rinsed the hose after the first time and when I rinsed the hose BEFORE the second time (or after 1-2 puffs on the hose) a lot of "dirt" came out again ....
Well, now I'm afraid that this "dirt" is rust. Ergo: Of course the shop sold me "shit"! But I shouldn't care at all, what I'm really worried about now is my lungs ..... because before I checked that something really wasn't right, I must have smoked about 5 heads ..... (was just a beginner and mistook it for dirt .... then thought it was coal .....)
Did I inhale rust or will EVERYTHING be left in my mouth? How could my lungs have been damaged?

  • well that doesn't really matter
you breathe in so many toxins in the air every day
if there were only 5 heads it doesn’t matter!
others have worked in eternitwerke for years and only pulled away from damage after years of contact

so don't worry about the short time, it doesn't hurt!

  • Is also in his lungs.

But everything is transported out again by the body's own protective mechanisms. (Biology, tiny hairs in the lungs)

Just never take the hose and it fits

You hurt them more from the tar that's in the smoke

  • jo, that's devinitely due to the hose. So it was not smart to wash the smart, because the cheap ones from the shop around the corner are actually always crap from the quality. best exchanged the smart, you can

Recommend, this is the best you can get and also net expensive.

    bought by: easy (+++), Shagga (+++), theswan (+++), Swoopy (+++), MisterT (+++)

  • and rust is nothing else than ice and that is good for blood formation

  • Throw the hose away, I also had and I always had a headache cut it open and if it is really rusty away with it

And if not, because then he has a hole xD

  • Don't worry about the rust, it's not harmful. Iron (oxide) is not a heavy metal and therefore harmless. Also because rust is not able to change chemically any further.

  • I also think that this is quite harmless. Perhaps you shouldn't spoon the grate into yourself, but in such small amounts that you've inhaled, I think it doesn't matter

  • yes I also made rust something from assi for a while

Make the fly you old Plum, or i will rip off your head.

But the fact remains that it still has nothing to do with the lungs. And depending on how much the hairs in the windpipe are already burdened by other stuff, it should be more or less difficult to get the rust out again by coughing.

So, of course, accidents happen again and again if you drink the whole evening and then remember at a speed of 120 km: Man, actually hands off the wheel.

That's not a problem, chain smokers knock the foreign matter out of their respiratory system every morning. And that for years. Therefore, the lungs with 5 heads of rust have no problem.

Ok, I am not a biologist.
Only got on educational television heard that the removal of foreign bodies depending on the "everyday stress" [dust, tar, ...] of the lungs no longer works so well.

In the end all that remains to be said is that you should just throw away rusty hoses.

You especially, papst-2, should pay attention to what you write.
